Take a beautiful single note – now feed that note into a dizzying array of effects (including huge 10+ second reverbs) and bounce that sound down to a single sample. Now, map that single sample across the entire keyboard and you have a totally new instrument that, while it doesn’t sound exactly like the instrument the recording came from, becomes something MAGICAL. You end up with new magical instrument unto itself!

About the Programmer: John Lehmkuhl created a majority of the new Soundsources. Toby Pitman also created a nice number of beautiful guitar and synth sounds that are a part of this library. The BONUS Signature presets plus 30 Multis were also created by John Lehmkuhl.

Library Specifics: This library started as a happy accident which has lead to other happy accidents (with MegaMagic; Pads and Bells / Winds). I have always loved lush reverb on sounds and was working to see if I could figure a way to get sounds that had that lushness – without the huge reverb wash that turns everything to mush if you play a few too many notes.

These are new instruments unto themselves. That, my friends, was the concept behind this library and I’m thrilled with how it has turned out!

The CORE of the library is 104 patches that use the new 104 Soundsource samples. On top of those patches, the Omnisphere 2.1 version has 80+ signature patches that have been created by John Lehmkuhl that use these unique new samples in places different than the default CORE library patches.

Modulation Wheel – Like every library you will find here, the Modulation wheel is programmed to change these sounds in noticeable ways so make sure you use it!
